with 16,000 pounds of freight, at a speed of 45 to 50 miles an hour, north on U. S. Highway 29 between the city of Greensboro
and the city of Reidsville. The road was dry; the weather was clear; no fog. At that time U. S. Highway 29 was a two-lane
highway.
